Scott LoBaido

A fourth Generation New Yorker, Scott LoBaido is a self taught artist.  He is diverse in his style, medium, and subject. Most artists stick to one continuous style, however, Scott loves the challenges of change and diversity.  In his gallery you will experience his wide range of works from the surreal and abstract paintings and sculptures… to the pop art and his unique love for patriotism.

His greatest creative accomplishment thus far was “Flags across America” where he drove across the United States, in 10 months, and painted a large American flag on one rooftop in each of the 50 states.  His goal was to ensure that all soldiers flying home from war would look down and see an American Flag greeting them home…Scott’s mission was to make sure that the soldiers knew how grateful we all are for their service to this great country, and to acknowledge the families of these great men and women, and of coarse express his pride in being a free American.

Scott’s past is rather colorful and controversial, as he was known for his notorious pro-American activism.  With his art as his platform, he has been featured in hundreds of newspaper articles, TV news programs and radio shows like CNN’s Anderson Cooper, FOX’s Bill O’Reilly Show and was named “Person of the Week” on ABC’s World News Tonight with Charlie Gibson.  Scott is currently featured in the newly released documentary The Color Bearers…Stories of American Patriotism.

Since retiring from his period of provocative public expressions, he has learned to transform that sometimes angry, creative energy into a powerful message of Goodwill Patriotism. He now devotes his time to Community Service, painting images of his love for patriotism, studio work and the surreal images from his imagination.

Scott’s current goal is to combine his abstract art with his unique sense of patriotism with the hope of promoting American Patriotism to all generations. Scott believes that by “reaching out to the younger generation of Americans through outreach programs, community services and POPART…. we can unite as a country and continue to grow strong, in times of pride, and especially in times of hardship.

Scott is now ready to take his unique patriot art to a broader audience through Television, books, and fine art exhibits throughout the states.

Just finished “Flags across Staten Island”. Dennis McKeon of Where-to-Turn, has been covering up graffiti through out the borough. Scott then paints a Flag on the clean surface. The graffiti never turns up again. (http://where-to-turn.org)

A book and documentary film on the artist’s work are in the beginning stages. A television series is being pitched to the networks. This show will be like David Copperfield meets Salvador Dali meets Norman Rockwell. Exciting, cutting-edge, with a lot of human-spirit emotion.

In 2012, the artist plans to tour the world to promote and reward all Free Democracies.

With the help of school children, he will create an artistic version of that Nation’s unique Flag.

Scott’s goal is to enlighten a world youth to the benefits of Patriotism.
